8:15 am - 9:15 am: Commercialization Strategies - Is a GPO Right for You?
When establishing a commercialization strategy, small companies will consider multiple distribution channels, including Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), independent distributors as well as direct sales. This panel will briefly explore these options and provide insights to help companies establish if a GPO contract is right for them. GPOs have clear and transparent contracting processes which have been developed to insure fairness and access to contracts in a competitive arena. Each panelist will briefly describe their contracting processes, timelines and access, in order to illustrate how many companies have been successful working in the GPO environment. Also, and very importantly, the panel will address strategies to best communicate and work with the GPO across the contracting, implementation and maintenance timeline/lifecycle/processes.
